Privacy notice

Last updated 5 November 2026

This notice explains what personal data Кәеф FM handles when you visit www.kaef.fun, listen to the stream at stream.kaef.fun or email us, and what your rights are. It is short because we collect very little.

In brief

  • No mandatory accounts or tracking. Community forum accounts and posts are stored locally in your browser.
  • Our hosting provider logs your IP address and browser or app name for every request, and deletes these logs after at most 30 days.
  • We display ads via Google AdSense to help support the free broadcast. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites.
  • Settings and forum data (language choice, community account, topics and replies) are stored in your device's browser storage.
  • If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
  • You can ask about your data, or object to its use, at support@kaef.fun.

Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data is Кәеф FM, run by a group of independent radio enthusiasts. For anything in this notice, including requests about your data, write to support@kaef.fun. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as the law does not require one for an operation of our size and type.

When you visit the website or listen to the stream

Every request your browser or radio app makes to www.kaef.fun or stream.kaef.fun (loading a page, starting the stream, or the page’s automatic check for the current song every 30 seconds) passes through our hosting provider, Railway. Railway records each request in a technical log:

  • your IP address
  • the name and version of your browser or player app (user agent)
  • the address requested, the time, the response status and the amount of data sent
  • the Railway data centre region that handled the request

Our own servers keep their own technical logs, without your IP address: the website records the page requested, the time and the response status; the stream server records the name of your player app, the referring page, the time and how long the connection stayed open.

Purpose: to deliver the website and the stream to you, to find and fix faults, and to detect and stop abuse such as attacks. We don’t use these logs to identify, track or profile listeners, and we don’t combine them with other data.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a reliable and secure service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Without this connection data, the website and the stream cannot be delivered to you.

Retention: the logs are deleted automatically at the end of our hosting plan’s retention period, at most 30 days. If an entry is needed to investigate a specific security incident, we may keep that entry until the investigation ends.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We display advertisements on the website through Google AdSense to support the station’s ongoing running and bandwidth costs.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and/or web beacons to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites on the internet.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to www.kaef.fun and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com) or via www.aboutads.info. For more information on how Google uses data from partner sites, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Listener numbers

We count how many people are listening at any moment, from a figure the stream server reports. Only the total for each moment is stored. It says nothing about who is listening and is not personal data. If we work with advertisers, they receive only such totals, never any data about individual listeners.

Your language setting and forum data

If you choose an interface language (EN, RU or TT) or create a forum account to post topics and replies, this data is saved directly in your browser's local storage on your device. The data stays on your device and is never used to profile or track you across the web. Until you choose a language, the site uses your browser's language setting, which is also read on your device only.

Because this data is stored only when you act and only to provide features you explicitly asked for, it does not require prior consent. To remove this data, sign out of the forum or clear this site's data in your browser settings.

When you email us

If you write to support@kaef.fun, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, the content of your message and the usual email metadata, such as the time it was sent. We use this only to answer you and to handle your request.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you or, if you are exercising one of your rights under this notice, our legal obligation to respond (Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR).

Retention: we delete the conversation within 12 months after it ends, unless we need it for longer to respond to or defend a legal claim.

Listening through other apps and directories

You can also listen to Кәеф FM through other software and services, such as the VLC player or radio directory websites and apps. We don’t run those services: when you use them, they handle your data under their own privacy policies. They connect to our stream like any player, so the logging described above applies to their connection.

Service providers and other recipients

  • Railway Corporation (USA) hosts the website, the stream and our servers in the Netherlands (EU West).
  • Google LLC (USA) provides advertising services via Google AdSense.
  • Hostinger (Lithuania, EU) hosts our email.

We disclose data to public authorities only where the law requires it, and we don’t share it with anyone else.

Transfers outside the EU

Railway and Google are US companies and may access the data they hold for us from the United States. That transfer is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). If you live outside the European Union, your data is processed in the Netherlands and possibly in the United States. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards that cover these transfers.

How long we keep data

  • Hosting and server logs: at most 30 days
  • Language setting and forum data: until you clear them in your browser or sign out
  • Emails: up to 12 months after the conversation ends
  • Listener totals: kept as statistics; they are not personal data

Your rights

You have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data, as well as restriction of or objection to processing.

To use any of these rights, write to support@kaef.fun. We reply within one month. If a request is complex, we may take up to two more months; if so, we will tell you why within the first month. It costs you nothing.

Your right to object

Because we process data on the basis of our legitimate interests, you can object to this processing at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop, unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue or need the data to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Complaints

If you think we handle your data unlawfully, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the EU country where you live, work or where the problem occurred. If you live in the United States, you can also contact your state attorney general or the Federal Trade Commission.

Security

Connections to the website and the stream are encrypted (HTTPS). Only the station team has access to our servers and logs, and the station’s control system cannot be reached from the internet.

Changes

If what we collect, or how we use it, changes, we will update this notice and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
